We expect the collaboration within the Nordic LEAF research network to result in a) new ties between already strong research teams representing profile areas of eight research labs with cross fertilization leading to innovation and creative research, b) Interdisciplinary growth by the combination of a variety of disciplines including learning science, computer science, media studies and curriculum development. c) Strengthen ties between the Nordic LEAF members and leading universities and research institutes in Europe and the USA that may result in new research initiatives and projects. We believe that the successful completion of these goals will provide the necessary conditions for the creation and establishment of a Nordic Center of excellence in the field of TEL.
Our vision with the creation and future evolution of Nordic LEAF is to establish a sustainable platform for research and development that will provide a cross-disciplinary communication arena for TEL researchers, PhD students and young researchers as well as for educational practitioners.
